Commercial Grading of Timber

New Book

Commercial Grading of Timber.

Swedish Wood and Svenskt Trätekniskt Forum have together with the Association of Finnish Sawmillmen and Treindustriens Tekniske Forening in Norway worked out a new system of rules regarding grading of sawn timber named Commercial Grading of Timber.

The new Commercial Grading of Timber has been produced through a careful examination of the figures used in previous grading rules, and revision of these figures based on production- and market-related requirements. An additional basis for the new grading system was a series of test gradings that compared the different sets of rules.
